Jill Miller, Development Director

Before beginning a career in fundraising, she worked in the corporate arena as a financial analyst.

Jill is President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Cincinnati Chapter. Carine de Lange, Director of Operations

Carine de Lange has served as Director of Operations at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati since 2008.  She was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Carine worked at the biggest bank in Africa for years, specializing in trust and estate law and in legal compliance.

However, it was her son Adriaan who brought the de Lange family to Cincinnati. Adriaan was born with various medical problems, including paralyzed vocal chords which made it impossible for him to breathe. The de Lange family made seven trips to the United States to receive care at Cincinnati Children’s and stayed at our House each time. They eventually moved to Cincinnati to be close to Adriaan’s doctors.

With firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to be a guest family and extensive experience in drafting procedures and training employees, Carine brings a skills set to our House that is incomparable. She lives in Wyoming, Ohio with her husband, Martin, who is also a volunteer at our House and with her son Adriaan, who is healthy and doing well.

Elise Hyder, Director of Volunteers

Elise Hyder joined Ronald McDonald House as Director of Volunteers in May of 2011. After serving 15 years in sales and marketing at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Elise was ready for a new challenge. An active volunteer in her community, she discovered that a career in volunteer management was where her heart and mind was leading her to be. She is thrilled to be serving over 400 engaged volunteers who inspire her every day, and looks forward to maintaining and growing one of the region’s most active volunteer programs.

Elise originally came to Cincinnati with the dream of becoming a professional opera singer. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degrees in music and psychology with honors from Florida State University, she obtained her Master of Music in Vocal Performance degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she was a Corbett Scholar. Elise is still an active professional soloist today and can be heard in area recitals, concerts, and houses of worship.

Elise’s passion for people and incurable enthusiasm for serving others makes her a natural fit for recruiting, nurturing and engaging RMH volunteers. Elise lives in Bellevue, Kentucky with her husband Drew and their two children, Austin and Renée.
