We are proud to share a few of the awards that our staff, our volunteers, and our House have received.

2016

 

Mike Weinberg, our director of volunteers, was named one of the Business Courier's Forty Under 40

Volunteer Katie McElveen was honored as the 2016 Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy from the Association of Fundraising Professional's Greater Cincinnati chapter.


2014

Carine deLange, our director of operations, was named one of the Business Courier's Forty Under 40


2013

Tanya Cornejo, our development director, was named one of the Business Courier's Forty Under 40.
 

Our House won Global Ronald McDonald House Charities' Hearts & Hands Award in the category of management effectiveness (for our volunteer training program)
 

Volunteer Etta Hoeh was recognized as one of the Cincinnati Enquirer's Women of the Year.

2012

Lois Schloemer, volunteer of 30 years, received the following awards and nominations:

  • 100 Women Leader of Promise Award from Girl Scouts of Western Ohio
  • The Cincinnati Association of Volunteer Administrators’ Agency Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Nominee
  • The state of Ohio’s 2012 ServeOhio Awards, Outstanding Adult Volunteer Nominee
  • Cincinnati Museum Center’s Difference Maker Award Nominee


Lisa Davis, our meals and activities coordinator, received the Outstanding Volunteer Administrator Award from the Cincinnati Association of Volunteer Administrators (CAVA).
 

GE was a CAVA Outstanding Corporate Partner nominee for their volunteer work at our House.
 

Mount Notre Dame High School won the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award for their volunteer work at our House.

 

2011

The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named our long-time volunteer Don Freed as the winner of the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award. 
 

House volunteer Etta Hoeh received a 2011 Difference Maker Award from the Cincinnati Museum Center.
 

The Cincinnati Association of Volunteer Administrators (CAVA) and our House recently recognized Fifth Third Bank as the 2011 Outstanding Corporate Volunteer Program.

 

2007

Our House received the ONE Award in the Category of Performance, based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria.

 

2006

Our House won the Non-Profit of the Year Award from the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
 

Our House also won the Torch Award from the Better Business Bureau.
