Other Ways to Donate

Donate your Vehicle

If you think that old car in your driveway isn't worth much, think again. By donating your car, truck, boat or RV to our House, you can help provide families with a "home away from home" and keep them together during the hospitalization of a seriously ill child. And, you can claim a tax deduction for your charitable donation. We'll even pick up your vehicle at no charge. Learn more about the program and how it helps or call toll-free 855-CARS-HELP (227-7435).

 

Memorial or Tribute Gift

Honor loved ones and we will send the person of your choice a letter or card, noting your thoughtful gift. Recognize a friend, family member, or client. Recognize a birthday, anniversary, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, holidays, or any other special occasion by making a donation in someone’s honor.  

 

Gifts of Stock

We also accept gifts of stock, which may be a tax benefit to you. Gifts of any size are welcome, and all gifts help us care for families with critically ill children.

 

Buy a Brick

Permanently showcase your family or honor a special loved one or life event by purchasing an engraved brick to be placed in our family garden. We will permanently etch your desired inscription into the brick selection of your choice.

Brick Selections

4” X 8” red brick (three lines of copy) - $100
4” X 8” gold brick (three lines of copy) - $250
4” X 8” grey brick (three lines of copy) - $500
12” X 12” grey paver (six lines of copy) - $1,000

The maximum number of characters per line (including spaces) is:

  1. 14 characters per line for 4” X 8” bricks
  2. 17 characters per line for 12” X 12” pavers

Double your Impact

Many companies have matching gift programs. Check with your company’s human resources department or payroll department to see if they can double the impact of your gift by matching it.

 

Change War

Looking for a fun way to help support our kids? How about a little friendly competition when you wage a change war.

You need two or more teams to join the battle. The object of the game is for each team to raise more money than the competition. Different coin or dollar denominations will either add or subtract from a team's total, depending on how you assign point values. Teams can 'sabotage' each other, and our House is the winner! This is a very simple fundraising idea for any team, especially an office or school.

Thanks to Eagle Scout Preston Prather, we now have some official Change War houses you can borrow for your own war. Houses can be picked up from Ronald McDonald House and lent to your organization for up to two weeks.

Coins That Count Donation Program
Now you can donate your change to Ronald McDonald House at all Coinstar locations. No more rolling coins! It's easy, free, and donations through Coinstar are tax deductible.

  • Find a Coinstar location near you at http://coinstar.com
  • At the machine, choose Cash in Coins and then Donate to Charity.
  • From the charity choices, choose Ronald McDonald House.
  • Pour in your change.
  • Wait for your receipt. Be sure to give us a copy of your receipt so that we can properly credit your organization for the gift.
  • Or turn your change into gift certificates to donate. Some of our favorites are: Amazon, Papa Johns, or Toys R Us.

Kroger Community Rewards

Many of us already have a Kroger Rewards card - we buy groceries, swipe the card, and receive fuel points and discounts on purchases. Well, now you can also help our guest families just by continuing to do what you've always done. Simply go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com and register your account, selecting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati as the beneficiary of your Community Rewards points. Then, shop as you always have, and Kroger will send a donation to our House based on a percentage of what you spend (and you still get all of your fuel points). Who knew it could be so easy to help critically ill children and their families?

Here's how to sign up:

  • If you haven't already, go to krogercommunityrewards.com to create a Kroger Plus online account. (If you don't have a Plus card, you can get one at any Kroger's).
  • Click on "Create an Account" in the upper right corner of the homepage.
  • Follow the prompts to create your log-in, password, and to register your Kroger Plus card.
  • You will get a confirmation email to respond to, after which you can log in to your Kroger account.
  • Under the "Account Settings" tab, scroll down to the "Community Rewards" bullet. You'll first have to complete your name and address information and then designate Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati as your Community Rewards beneficiary. Type in our name (Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati) or organization number (82855). 

 

Tix4Cause

Forget those other ticketing sites.  Choose RMH Cincinnati as your charity of choice when you purchase event tickets at www.Tix4Cause.com and a portion of your fee is donated to our House.  Donating unused tickets or selling tickets to your own event also helps!

 

Hoxworth Blood Center

Join Hoxworth Blood Center’s Premier Donor Club and pay it forward!

The Premier Donor Club is Hoxworth Blood Center’s program to recognize donation frequency and motivate donors to respond to special-needs requests. Donors who create an online account using their unique Donor ID in the HoxworthPlus Donor Portal can earn points for donations at a Neighborhood Donor Center or mobile blood drive. The points vary according to the type of blood product donated.  Donors can “spend” their points in the Premier Donor Club online store or donate their points to support Ronald McDonald House.  Find all the information you need to get signed up here.
