VolunTEEN Program

Our VolunTEENs are a very special group of Cincinnati-area high school students who make a valuable contribution to our House in every area as well as gain a unique volunteer experience. An elite group of exceptional teens will be selected for each session to join this program. Motivated, independent, and responsible high school students are invited to apply.

All VolunTEENs will work in pairs around the common areas of our House, completing light housekeeping chores and assisting guest families when needed.

Here are some great reasons to become a VolunTEEN:

  • Meet new friends from area high schools
  • Receive training and learn new skills
  • Get the inside view of how one of the area's most impactful non-profits operates on a daily basis
  • Work side by side with a positive and support team of staff and volunteers
  • Be affiliated with a reputable global charity
  • Receive a letter of recommendation and certification of service hours
  • Make a difference in the lives of our families

  • Must be a current high school student entering grades 9-12.
  • Commit to volunteer a minimum of one (1) 2-hour shift a week for the duration of the program, missing no more than three (3) shifts.

Interested high school students must submit an application and two written references from non-family members. Space is limited.  Participants will be selected based on his/her qualifications and personal interview.

Our Fall 2016 session is now closed.

Please stay tuned for updated information on the next session beginning at the start of the 2017/18 school year.
