Cincinnati's Ronald McDonald House Expands to Serve 500 More Families
Our House will soon be able to provide a "home away from home" for an additional 500 families each year. This increase is due to the commitment Cincinnati Children's has made to family-centered care and their resolve to change outcome. Cincinnati Children's has made a strategic investment in our future that will allow us to expand our House by an additional 30 rooms. The hospital's investment will cover the capital costs associated with building the expansion wing.
As we increase the number of families we serve, our operating costs also increase. The continued support of our donors and volunteers, as well as additional support from new donors and volunteers, will be essential as we begin to care for 30 more families each night.
This new expansion wing is anticipated to open Spring 2009.
