U.S. Bank Foundation Provides Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle

Our guest families come to Ronald McDonald House from around the globe. Since many of our families are without a car during their stay with us, we are fortunate to be able to provide shuttle services to and from the hospital, area grocery stores and retailers. But for those children who have limited mobility or are in wheelchairs, getting in and out of a shuttle can be difficult.

Thankfully, however, McDonald House guest families have a brand new mode of transportation. The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. / U.S. Bank Foundation recently funded the purchase of a new wheelchair-accessible vehicle for Ronald McDonald House. Macey Powell and her mother, Heather, of Somerset, Kentucky, were among the first passengers to ride in this new vehicle. In response to this wonderful donation, Macey simply said, “Thank you, The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. / U.S. Bank Foundation.”
