Craft Packs

Thank you for your interest in providing a Craft Pack for our kids and families. Some evenings we don’t have structured fun, or a child may be isolated to his/her room and feeling bored, so a ready made activity really helps pass the time and offer a little creative outlet. Imagine the smile on a child’s face when they can say “Look what I made!”

This is a great activity for youth/teen groups. Each pack should include everything needed to complete one activity. The packs can be prepared in your own setting and dropped off at the house any day between 9 AM and 9 PM. These guidelines will help you plan a successful experience.

  • Please label each pack as to its contents and include directions, if needed.
  • Indicated the targeted age and boy/girl (if applicable).
  • Only include non-toxic, washable materials
  • Moist towlettes or hand wipes with messier crafts would be much appreciated.
  • Don’t forget to fill out a donation form when you’re here
Here are a few suggestions, but your ideas are welcome!
A few Ideas:
  • Scrapbooking supplies
  • Seasonal crafts
  • Beginner sewing projects
  • Picture frames to decorate
  • Materials to personalize: T-shirts, tote bags or door signs
  • Make your own greeting cards with stamps
  • Small bead or jewelry kits
  • Model airplanes or cars
  • Puppets
  • Washable glue or glue sticks

Please do not include:
  • Any items not labeled as non-toxic
  • Non-washable markers or permanent markers
  • Large bottles of paint
  • Anything sharp like push pins or sewing needles
  • Anything that is not easy to wash out or will stain
  • Anything that needs to be cut as scissors may not be available
We always appreciate donations of paper, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, pencil sharpeners, pipe cleaners, stickers, felt, foamies, etc. for make-your-own type crafts, too!

Ronald McDonald House is a NON-DENOMINATIONAL organization. We hope you’ll understand that we cannot accept any items that are religious in nature. We have families with us from around the globe representing many different nationalities, cultures and beliefs. We cannot appear to favor any specific one. Passing out any type of religiously-themed literature or engaging in any type of religious solicitation is prohibited.

For the safety of our House children and parents, anyone in your group who is coughing, feverish, has a runny nose or has been exposed to a contagious disease should not visit the House or be involved with preparing the packs. Some children are in isolation or have immune-suppressed bodies and cannot fight even the simplest cold. We encourage frequent hand-washing during assembly.

*** No community restitution or court ordered volunteers can be accepted. ***

Thank you again for your generous offer to provide a little entertainment for our children.

Sincerely,

Lisa Davis
