Scrapbooking Kits
Although our families go through a lot of stress, there are still special memories to be made while living here at Ronald McDonald House. Our House is a special place where life-long friendships are forged, and children reach medical milestones that at one time seemed impossible. Being able to make a scrapbook page is not only a special way to hold on to the good times, but it also helps our moms relax. Our teenaged guests, and even the younger kids, enjoy scrapbooking, too!
Each kit should include everything needed to complete one activity. Birthday or other holiday-themed kits would be very much appreciated, and we’d also enjoy year round patterns. The kits can be prepared in your own setting and dropped off at the house any day between 9 AM and 9 PM. These guidelines will help you plan a successful experience.
Ronald McDonald House is a NON-DENOMINATIONAL organization. We hope you’ll understand that we cannot accept any items that are religious in nature. We have families with us from around the globe representing many different nationalities, cultures and beliefs. We cannot appear to favor any specific one. Passing out any type of religiously-themed literature or engaging in any type of religious solicitation is prohibited.
For the safety of our House children and parents, anyone in your group who is coughing, feverish, has a runny nose or has been exposed to a contagious disease should not visit the House or be involved with preparing the kits. Some children are in isolation or have immune-suppressed bodies and cannot fight even the simplest cold. We encourage frequent hand-washing during assembly.
*** No community restitution or court ordered volunteers can be accepted. ***
Thank you again for your generous offer to provide a little entertainment for our families.
Sincerely,
Lisa Davis
