At Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, the holidays bring a new set of challenges for parents already facing so much. On top of spending every moment and dollar on their critically ill child, the holidays mean trying to find the time, resources and energy to shop. With most guest families hundreds of miles from family and friends, the family traditions they may cherish will have to be different. And then of course there are the children asking the most important question of all: “Will Santa be able to find me when I’m so far from home?” (more…)

We’re thrilled to announce that our Ronald McDonald House was recently honored as the 2017 non-profit recipient of the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. This award, part of the Cincinnati BBB’s Center for Ethics, recognizes organizations that are committed to ethical practices. After receiving the award, our executive director, Jennifer Goodin, said:

At our House, providing a safe and clean environment is critical so that children with weakened immune systems can feel comfortable enjoying any space in our House. Our Healthy House Project focuses on making physical improvements to our House so that our guest families have the best possible living arrangements to rest and be together. (more…)

It’s the little things that help families living with us call our House their home. As spring blazed into summer this year, we began noticing little painted rocks appearing around the hallways and common spaces. These weren’t just ordinary rocks. (more…)
